This program has been running since 2007 with the aim of promoting the welfare of people with disabilities and their families.
The living allowance, which was Rs. 3,000 in 2019, has been increased to Rs. 10,000/- from April 2025, and steps have been taken to increase the total number of beneficiaries to 72,000 by adding 40,000 new beneficiaries to the existing 32,000 beneficiaries.
Eligibility to be fulfilled
- Recommendation from a government doctor that he is a disabled person
- Being an income earner whose monthly family income is less than Rs.16,191
