This program has been running since 2007 with the aim of promoting the welfare of people with disabilities and their families.
The living allowance of Rs.3000 each has been increased to Rs.5000 in the year 2019 and steps have been taken to increase the total number of beneficiaries to 72,000 by adding 40,000 new beneficiaries to the number of 32,000 beneficiaries.
Eligibility to be fulfilled
- Recommendation from a government doctor that he is a disabled person
- Being an income earner whose monthly family income is less than Rs.6000
