Persons with disabilities who are able to engage in work are referred for employment in the private sector, and this office will arrange to pay 50% of the salary paid by the organization (maximum Rs. 15,000) for 24 months.
Accordingly, the preliminary phase of this project has been completed in relation to the year 2019. There, at the divisional secretariat level, tasks such as identification of persons with disabilities, coordination of private organizations expressing agreement to provide employment were carried out.
Accordingly, all the district secretaries, divisional secretaries have been informed through discussions as well as through a circular, and arrangements have been made to coordinate private institutions through an agreement. Accordingly, nearly 30 persons with disabilities identified have been referred for job training in 2020. It is being implemented further for the year 2022 as well.
