These programs are implemented to provide a helping hand to overcome the economic, social and psychological conditions faced by families who have become single-parent families due to reasons such as death of spouse, abandonment of children and spouse. Accordingly, the single-parent family program is implemented under several sub-programs.
- Providing self-employment assistance up to Rs.30,000
- Conducting professional training sessions
- Conducting capacity building programs
- Providing educational assistance up to Rs.10,000
- Starting reading centers
Application Procedure
- The relevant application must be completed as per the approval of the Village Officer, Social Service Officer and Divisional Secretary.
- About 15 volunteer leaders should be trained to set up a reading center.
